Master Conservationist 2022

Stephen Goodlett (Left), received the 2022 Master Conservationist Award at the Mercer County Ag Field Day on September 8th. The award was provided by the Mercer County Conservation District.

Stephen was selected for his various conservation practices. He has installed 7,080 ft. of pipeline, 8 water-tanks, 11,570 ft. of interior fence, 950 acres of cover crops, 630 acres of nutrient management, 20 acres of seeding, working on 1,260 acres of nutrient management, and 1,425 acres of cover crops through the federal program EQIP. To be completed, a 13,150 sq. ft. Heavy Use Area in the State Cost-share Program. Federal and state programs are administered at the conservation office.

The award was provided by the Mercer County Conservation District. He was chosen for his various conservation practices that he has implemented. He has installed 6 water-tanks, 5,820 ft. pipeline, 3,800 ft. of fence, 22 acres of seeding, 321 acres pre-scribed grazing & 1 CNMP through the federal program EQIP. A stack pad, 50 acres pasture renovation, HUA, 3 water tanks & 6,200 ft. pipeline, and 3,900 ft. of fence in State Cost Share. In the CAIP Program, Zack has purchased heifers, bale accumulator, gates, scales, creep feeder, hay tedder, grain bin, installed a hoop barn and boundary fencing.
